Our founder and managing director Alan Batton, started out as a financial adviser in 1994.

Over the years, his experience within the estate planning industry has equipped him with a broad knowledge of Wills, Trusts, and Lasting Powers of Attorney; giving him a unique understanding of the pitfalls and challenges associated with running an estate planning business.

While working as an estate planner, he identified an unmet need in the sector – the absence of a system that allows you to produce high-quality documents within a reasonable turnaround time.

Unable to find a plausible solution in the market, he decided to present a more efficient service to the estate planning industry with the intention of aiding other estate planners around the country.

The response he received from this endeavour was incredibly positive.

In 2016, he started TrustDocs, a company that specialises in supporting Estate Planners with the drafting of high-quality Lifetime Trusts; specifically our ‘Family Asset Protection Trusts’ (FAPT). Over the years, TrustDocs has evolved and now supplies a comprehensive selection of documentation required by estate consultants.

We differentiate ourselves from the marketplace with turnaround times as short as 5 days, bespoke training programmes, and a working week phone- based helpline. Our highly experienced in-house team provide excellent service and draft thousands of documents for estate planners across England and Wales.
